A Box. A Wall

The initial concept for the house began with a simple box perched on a tall wall.  Additional volumes extend through the site, all of which are punctured by openings that serve to erode the boxes and connect interior and exterior spaces. The volumes at the front step down and break up to better connect to the surroundings in proportion and mass, but the project contrasts dramatically in form.
