Hive Parklet

DESCRIPTION:
Part of Baran Studio’s commitment the character and quality of our Oakland neighborhoods is doing pro-bono projects. For this particular one, we developed the design and permit documentation for the public parklet in front of the Hive, the Place to Bee coffee shop. Located in the center of the bustling Dimond District, the project picks up its design inspiration from the coffee shop’s aesthetic, creating a geometric landscape for rest, work, and the enjoyment of a good cup of a caffeinated beverage.
