62nd Street

DESCRIPTION:
The 62nd Street project is located on a uncommonly large lot for an urban development, and takes advantage of the land by spreading out and integrating into the context. Indoor and outdoor areas flow into one another, creating a singular and continuous space. Linkages between spaces are created through an adaptive wood element that carries from the approach to the house (fence) to the front entry (face) through the interior (wall) and out to the garden again (fence). Sustainable qualities are integrated into infrastructure and materiality.
