60th Street (Dogtown)

DESCRIPTION:
Set behind an existing Victorian (which was also remodeled as part of the project) the architecture presents a form that contrasts with the rest of the neighborhood. The infill lot presented a challenge that defined the project - the ground floor took advantage of the efficient rear yard, maximizing light and outdoor connectivity. The upper floors contain private spaces that are oriented to maximize privacy. The house was also designed to minimize impact on neighboring properties, including maximizing open space for the Victorian at the front of the property. Spaces inside the house are large, open and light filled.
