This project began as one large lot, which was split into two separate lots. The proposed configuration was designed to continue the development pattern of the neighborhood. The houses are a modern take on the Victorians that are ubiquitous in the area. Many of the homes that were built at the turn of the century were designed in pairs and / or triplets. The project further echoes the proportions and layout of historic Victorians without mimicking them. Elements include a 2nd
floor entry and entry stair, bay window, and false front (present in many Italianate homes). The house is punctuated with gardens and open space, and was designed to preserve a large, existing Oak.
