This Los Angeles eatery was conceived as ‘speculative food’, where the space would morph as it developed and influenced by the chef that would ultimately occupy the space.  With this in mind, the architecture was intented to vanish into the landscape, leaving the attention to be focused on whatever cuisine would ultimately be prepared, along with the temperate L.A. climate.  The building itself was stripped to the basic structure and primarily composed of openings, and then surrounded by and outdoor eating area so that the dining space flowed from inside to outside.
